Literature Text

This is what I've come up with so far, since I've almost finished my degree in game design and computer engineering. I need input to figure out whether I should make this into a game with a couple of my friends and Unity 5, or make it into a manga first. This is also a work in progress so it's not finished. :P
Game Mechanics or Manga Ideas
I. Weapon Types
A. Beams
B. Cannons
C. Voids
D. Swords and Dual-Wielding Swords

II. Armour Types
A. Heavy
B. Light
C. Neutral
D. Scale (Armor generated by the user, can only be neutral weight but can gain benefits of both light heavy armor.

III. Main Classes
A. Swordsman: Specializes in close-combat sword fighting, Dual-Wielding, Heavy Armor, Neutral Armor and some long range beam weapons and cannons.
B. Medic: Specializes in close and long range healing abilities. As well as long range beam weapons, Light and Neutral Armor.
C. Mage: Specializes in close to long range beams, cannons and voids. As well as some close range healing abilities and Light Armor.
D. Rogue: Is equally talented in both close combat weaponry and Light, Heavy and Neutral Armor types. As well as close to long range beam weapons and cannons, but takes twice as long to gain experience. (Recommended for players who enjoy experience grinding)
E. Gunsmith: Specializes in close to long range weapons and guns. (They can produce weapons that replicate beam and cannon weaponry, but are twice as accurate).
F. Soldier: Specializes in all weapon types except maces and clubs, as well as Light and Neutral Armor Types and extra item slots, up to 2. (Recommended for Stealth or Support Builds)

IV. Side Classes
A. Generalist allows 1 extra class slot. As well as 1 (Up to 2) extra item slots.
1. Generalist II allows 2 extra side class slots.
B. Cleric allows 1 (Up to 2) extra side ability(s). (Such as Beam, Cannon, Void, etc.)
C. Blacksmith allows construction of secret and advanced weapons, armors and accessories.
D. Scale allows armor generated by the user. (Some races already gain this ability such as Dragons). LG
E. Treasure Hunter increases the amount of experience gained by 25%, as well as gold gained and rare loot found by 25% (up to 35%).
F. Assassin increases agility as well as decreases armor, weapon and item weight by 25% (up to 75%).
G. Siphon allows the user to steal health and mana from a desired a target. LG
H. Grace allows the user to fly for an infinite amount of time. LG




V. Races
A. Dragon: Dragons are born with the special ability Scale and have up to 3 special forms and 1 Divine Form.
B. Harpy: Harpies are born with the special ability Siphon (Which allows the user to steal health and mana from a desired target) and have 1 special form and 1 divine form.
C. Griffin: Griffons are born with the special ability Grace (Which allows them to fly for an infinite amount of time) and have 2 special forms and 1 divine form.
D. Wyvern: Wyverns are born with the special ability Drones (Which allows them to summon 1 [up to 3] of their kind)
E. Werewolf: Werewolves are born the ability Drones and have 3 special forms and 1 divine form.
F. Elf: Elves are born with the special ability Unity (Which allows them to summon or take control of an Ancient as well as gain a 10% increase to all skills, and another 10% bonus if another one of their kind is nearby) and have 2 special forms and 1 divine form.
G. Amazon: Amazons are born with the special ability Destruction (Which allows them to gain a 50% damage bonus and a 15% experience bonus if another one of their kind is nearby) and have 1 special form and 1 divine form.
H. Human: Humans are born with the special ability Eden (Which allows the user to summon 6 (up to 12) Ancient Warriors of destruction, healing or support. Each can be customized) and have 1 special form and 1 divine form.

VI. Familiars and Enemies
Familiars can either be an Ancient or mythical being found on the world of Zek Terra or Old Earth. They can be heavily customized in race, armor, weaponry and accessories. Certain enemies cannot become a familiar, LIke bosses. But some bosses can become familiars in reincarnation or game plus mode.

VI. Skills
Skills are basically your Strength, Agility, Endurance and Intelligence. As well as being comprised of abilities and classes which fall under each category. For example. Swordsman falls under Strength and healing falls under intelligence. Heres some another example to show. By also increasing your strength you increase your aptitude for that class and ability. Certain abilities can only be unlocked by increasing your Skill, unless your class or race is born with that ability. Additional, say you increase your strength by spending 20 skill points (max 100), you unlock certain abilities that fall under the minimum requirement of 20/100. But you can also increase the accuracy, strength or distance of said ability by spending power points on that ability. Points are divided into Skill Points for stuff like strength, and Power Points for stuff like classes and abilities. When you level up (Max Level 100 [Can be increased to 250]) you gain skill points and power points (which can also be gained from bosses and side bosses or from missions) which can be spent to increase your desired area of expertise. Although certain classes are listed in certain skills and other are not, you will still receive bonus by spending points on a skill. The classes that are listed are classes that specialize in those areas of skill. Swordsman for example specializes more in strength then Rogue does. Some classes can also gain access to certain abilities while others can't

VII. Extra
A. Apps
1. Arc Drakonis, this app will allow you to check on your statistics, clan and party status, items, currency, messages, daily missions, etc.
2. Arc Drakonis, the mobile game. This will be a mobile version of our game (Controller Highly Recommended) of course the assets will be downscaled to support the device in question's specs, but they will modifiable in the options menu.

Hey.

I don't know anything about game design and to be honest, I skimmed over your stuff in info. I think it would be neat for you to start with a profile for each catagory where you sketch out the object or character and will have a base/ or something to reference with in your future work. I don't know how far along you are with your profject but I you sure do have a lot of info! I would love to see reference pages for everything! Starting with the story and art work would be where I start for sure. I look forward to it :)
